Silent Sunday - Winter

"Winter came down to our house one night
quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow."

Love the blue and brown combination here Carolynn. Quite beautiful.

... and Phyllis is a White Crested Black Polish Bantam. If you need chicken ideas, I'd suggest going to the MacMurray Hatchery website -- that's where I buy my chicks. xo

We don't seem to be living in winter right now, more spring like temps...

I'm sure it will revisit again.

I have the very same fountain, painted mine a charcoal greyish color...not much water in it right now.

Stay warm, spring is coming in a few months, keep that thought in your heart.

Great contrast ~ the hope of summer paired with the essence of winter. Here, barely a week old, winter has trounced us good and threatens several more inches of the "silvery-toed slippers of snow" tonight.

Lovely sentiment. At the moment though, I wish winter would quietly go away!
