I finally came up with an idea that really resonates with me because it utilized items I already had on hand - covering existing storage boxes with fabric and wallpaper.

To repurpose boxes, you'll need the style that has a separate lid, like the classic banker's box. The boxes I had available were old and tired and I never did like the pink maple leaf pattern on the slimmer set of boxes.

It's actually one of the colours I'd originally considered covering the walls with.
The self-adhesive metal label holders are a Martha Stewart product available at Staples and come in two different sizes.
They're not perfect AND they're just storage boxes. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the result.
Phase II of the reorganization project will commence shortly...more to come.
