Out With the Old

Well, 2012 was certainly a year that put my Annual Word, Flow, to the test. If you had suggested, at any point last year, that I would be living in the prairies and liking it, I would have laughed out loud.  The truth is, I'm really amazed at what a good fit it's proving to be.

That said, I reserve the right to change my opinion when tick season arrives....

We've committed to buying the 100 year old house we've been living in and just have to get the paperwork in order.  Now that we know we're going to buy it, we've started to make a few minor changes and have started by replacing a few of the lighting fixtures we've never liked. There's just no accounting for taste, is there?

I have big plans for 2013, but if this past year has been any indication, I'm preparing for the unexpected.

I can feel my inner cheerleader doing a happy dance for you guys...

When you find it, it doesn't matter where happiness lives, but it lives in your heart.

Congrats on the new home.

Exciting news about the house! Congratulations!

I'm afraid that "tick season" would give me the willies! Ick! They make me do the "tick dance" when I see them! Double Ick!

Happy New Year to you!

Jen: It's true. I can pretty much make a home anywhere.

Christina: The lavender paint colour is the next thing to go...!

Laura: May your New Year be filled with blessings, as well, dear friend.

Thank you, Jane! You're always so generous with your compliments. Big Hug.

Annette: I hope it lives up to expectations. *grin*

Janis: We bloggers can make anything blog worthy, no? *grin*

Chieftess: The Frenchman and I were planning a quiet dinner, just the two of us, but we've invited good friends over to help us ring in the New Year at the last minute. Happy New Year to you, too!

DesertHen: I'm not at all looking forward to tick season...it's pretty bad here, apparently. I know someone who got Lime Disease and is pretty messed up physically, so I'm really paranoid about the little suckers.

I'm so happy that you're happy on the prairie. As for the tick thing, maybe it's time to start thinking about guinea hens. I hear they're tick-eating machines.

And I for one am very glad you picked up your nest and moved to Saskatchewan my friend! We don't usually have too many ticks in Southwest Sask unless you are in the tall tall grass. So just wear thigh high rubber boots and you should be ok. ;)
Have a super evening my friend!
